Project Description: Red Barn Consulting assisted with the NPDES Storm Water permit, site layout and the Erosion and Sediment Control Plan needed for earth disturbance associated with this project. Red Barn's dairy team of consultants and CADD designers worked with the farmer to discuss the project layout and finalize the site plan. They also communicated with the county, township and DEP to submit the site layout and accompanied stormwater control plan needed to fulfill the requirements of the NPDES Permit. Meadow Lane Dairy is an existing dairy operation in Manor Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The dairy proposed an expansion in spring 2008 consisting of the construction of:
45’ X 165’ milking center 116’ X 144’ special needs barn 116’ X 408’ free stall barn site grading for a future 116’ X 408’ free stall barn 16’ X 200’ concrete sand settling lane 50’ X 150’ concrete sand stacking area two 90’ X 400’ X 12’ deep HDPE-lined manure storages with concrete floors and entrance ramps 200’ X 320’ X 13’ deep HDPE-lined manure storage.
