Over 2 Decades of Success
Our History
Red Barn Consulting was established in 2001 to work with the Pennsylvania farming community, assisting with agricultural permitting, nutrient management planning, and conservation planning. In 2002, we expanded our services to meet the growing demand for agricultural and civil engineering including structural design, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, and land development planning. We have worked with well over 1000 farmers to develop their plans and ensure they are meeting environmental compliance. Many of our agricultural expansion projects are born out of the need to allow the next generation to carry on in farming. It is our goal to provide our clients with the best value possible given that their projects may be the biggest business decisions they may ever have to make.
Our Future
Red Barn Consulting’s future is rooted in the same values that shaped our past: practical engineering, trusted relationships, and a deep respect for farmers. As agriculture continues to evolve, we are committed to helping farmers and landowners navigate increasingly complex regulatory, environmental, and development challenges with clarity and confidence.
Looking ahead, Red Barn Consulting will continue to expand its technical capabilities while staying intentionally focused on agriculture, conservation, and rural communities. We are investing in our people, our tools, and our processes so we can deliver smarter solutions, move projects through permitting more efficiently, and help our clients put plans into action sooner.

Our Mission
Red Barn Consulting exists to support agriculture through practical engineering, thoughtful planning, and dependable service. We provide agricultural, environmental, and related engineering solutions that help farmers and landowners navigate complex regulations, move projects forward efficiently, and protect the land they depend on.
We understand that our work is often mission-critical to our clients’ operations. That’s why we focus on clear communication, responsive service, and solutions that work in the field—not just on paper.
Built for a Changing Industry
Agriculture is constantly evolving, and regulatory requirements continue to grow more complex. We stay current with changing standards and expectations so our clients don’t have to. Our approach is flexible, practical, and tailored to each operation—allowing us to support growth, change, and long-term viability.
Partners, Not Just Consultants
We believe the best results come from strong relationships. More than a service provider, Red Barn Consulting acts as a trusted partner—working alongside our clients to deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that support working lands and rural communities.
